Farmers and Merchants Bank has been a town staple in Eatonton for over 100 years.
Amy Mcelhenney is the Vice President and Human Resources Director and has been with the bank for 25 years doing a little bit of everything.
“If they asked me I did it,” she said.
Mcelhenney says she, along with other employees, love the organization because it’s family oriented.
“Our employees are definitely our heartbeat,” she said.
While products and services are the same as most banks, Farmers and Merchants Bank is different because they are well established and financially rooted in the community.
“Our biggest thing is how we serve our community,” Mcelhenney said. “They come and their family too.”
Mcelhenney says they stay relevant by serving their community.
She says they chose to advertise on the radio because they feel the Oconee Radio Group has a large audience.
“Advertising on the radio has definitely benefited us,” she said. “We feel that we reach a lot of people”
