Frontline healthcare workers at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin began getting COVID-19 vaccines today.
The hospital received a shipment of the Moderna COVID-19 Tuesday.
After frontline healthcare workers, community living center residents will be vaccinated, followed by high-risk veterans.
VA schedulers are reaching out to those veterans for appointments.
For now, the COVID-19 vaccine is being given at center in Dublin, not VA clinics, like the one in Milledgeville.
The vaccine is given in two doses, 28 days apart.
