The State Board of Education Monday approves a plan for classes with End-of-Course Milestones testing to be counted for a minimum .01% of a student’s final grade, instead of 20%.
This is for this school year only and includes tests already taken in the fall.
Lee Anne Cowart, who represents the Lake Area on the state school board, voted for the proposal.
State Superintendent Richard Woods made the proposal after the Trump administration rejected Georgia’s request to extend waivers of standardized testing requirements for another school year.
The State Board of Education’s final vote was unanimous.
