Congress passes a $2.3 trillion-dollar federal funding package Monday night, which includes $900 billion in COVID relief.

It funds the federal government through September 2021.

Georgia U.S. Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler voted for it. Lake Area Congressman Jody Hice voted against it.

Here are some of the highlights according to POLITICO:

  • $166 billion for direct checks. People making under $75,000 or couples making under $150,000, would a $600 check per person. An additional $600 for each child. Learn more about the checks here: http://cnb.cx/38qvqZF
  • $325 billion for small businesses, including $284 billion for new PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) loans. $15 billion specifically for live performance venues and theaters.
  • $120 billion for the unemployed. Extra $300 a week for those unemployed from now through mid-March. This includes self-employed workers.
  • $82 billion for colleges, universities, and K-12 schools
  • $13 billion in aid for farmers and ranchers
  • $10 billion to help childcare providers
  • $7 billion for expanding broadband access, including $300 for rural broadband
