GREENSBORO – On Tuesday, Pittman Construction began a $413,227 pavement preservation contract to maintain sections of State Route (SR) 44 and SR 15 north of I-20. Expect daily delays until complete.
Work details include:
- SR 44 from I-20 to the city center at W. Broad Street
- Asphalt patching, crack sealing and striping
- Lane closure restrictions from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the school zone
- SR 15 for a mile and a half from W. Broad Street ending south of Lick Skillet Road
- Asphalt patching and striping
Work times may be adjusted to mitigate traffic delays once underway. Official completion is May 2022 but contractors should complete the work before that cut off.
