The search continues for 20-year-old Deron Demond Bell in connection with last Friday’s deadly road rage shooting on I-20 in Greene County.
The GBI, Greene County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals are searching for Bell, who is from Norcross.
Bell is wanted for charges of felony murder, malice murder and aggravated assault.
South Carolina truck driver Joseph Lee Briggs, Jr. was shot while driving down I-20 West last Friday morning around 6:45.
Investigators believe he was shot after he passed too close to a car.
Briggs’ truck crossed the median, crossed I-20 East and crashed into the woods near mile marker 132. That is near the Veazey Road bridge.
The was dead by the time deputies got to him.
Briggs was 30 and from Manning, South Carolina.
He will be laid to rest this Sunday.
