One man has been arrested and charged with murder following a shooting in Milledgeville on Saturday morning.
Milledgeville Police Department detectives executed a search warrant at a home in the 1100 block of Highland Avenue in connection with the shooting death of 43-year-old Joshua Jones Monday morning.
According to Major Linc Boyer, 30-year-old Tavish Goddard was taken into custody.
Following questioning by detectives, Goddard was taken to the Baldwin County Jail and charged with the following offenses, malice murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
This investigation is still ongoing.
