The 62-year-old Barrows Ferry Road bridge over Tobler Creek about 2 miles north of Milledgeville will soon be replaced. The contract was awarded to Georgia Bridge and Concrete. Once underway later this year, drivers must detour for up to 12 months. North Jefferson Street will serve as the main detour route around to either side of the closure area. The planned completion date is July 31, 2023.
