Georgia will get an estimated $11 billion in funding from the bipartisan infrastructure bill passed by Congress and signed by President Biden earlier this month.
The Peach State’s Democratic delegation voted for the bill, but all of the Republicans voted against it. Congressman Andrew Clyde described the $1.2 trillion package as “wasteful.”
“I’ve been saying that America needs a home improvement project,” said U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock (D-Ga). “Infrastructure is about the space that we share together.”
Warnock spoke about the bill while visiting Milledgeville for Veteran’s Day.
