Authorities say the same pair of suspects smashed into three pharmacies across three separate counties over the weekend.
“It’s definitely the same group that hit Gordon that hit us,” Milledgeville Police Chief Dray Swicord tells Lake Country Today. “We certainly don’t think this is a local issue; I just think it’s a group that’s going around hitting different stores.”
According to the Chief, security footage showed two suspects inside.
Investigators initially believed that the break-in at the H&M Drugs in Milledgeville coincided with a break-in at a drug store in Gordon, Georgia. Still, after examining security footage, Swicord said they determined Milledgeville was hit about an hour after Gordon. A third burglary happened 24 hours later at a drug store in Madison.
In all three cases, the suspects gained entry by smashing the glass in the front door.
According to the Chief, the suspects only got away with narcotics from H&M Drugs in Milledgeville.
“Entry into the stores on all three were less than a minute and a half to two minutes,” Swicord said.
