In their proposal approved by the Georgia Access to Medical Cannabis Commission, Treevana says the Milledgeville facility will bring as many as 144 jobs.

Similar licenses were granted for facilities to be built in Dublin, Louisville and Macon.

The low-THC cannabis oil will be sold under a state program for those with a number of diseases that can relief with the product, including those with certain cancers, seizure disorders, MS, ALS, Crohn’s disease, Parkinson’s and sickle-cell anemia.
