Taliaferro County School District students are back in class.
They returned to begin the 2021-2022 school year on July 19th.
Superintendent Allen Fort talked to us about how the first few days of school went.
He also talks about returning school so early, their masking requirement and more.
Fort says 38 of their 40 teachers and staff have been vaccinated. The school year will begin with a mask requirement. Virtual learning is only allow for students with documented medical issues.
The district begins the school year with 185 students. It is one of the smallest school districts east of the Mississippi.
