Georgia General Assembly hearings on redistricting continue this week with hearings in Athens and Augusta

Tuesday’s hearing in Athens will be at Athens Tech, while Wednesday’s hearing in Augusta will be at Savannah Rapids Pavilion.

There are no hearings scheduled for the Lake Area. There is a hearing scheduled for July 29th in Macon. A location has not been announced. There is also a virtual hearing on July 30th.

This part of the process of redrawing Congressional, state legislative and other political lines. A General Assembly special session is expected later this year after lawmakers get in-depth 2020 Census data.
