Governor Brian Kemp announced Wednesday an expansion of COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to include Georgians 55 and older, along with those with a list of serious medical conditions.

The new eligibility group takes effective March 15th.

The Kemp administration estimates 3.3 million Georgians fall under the new categories.

During a Wednesday press conference, Governor Kemp also addressed when all Georgians could get access to the vaccine.

“Provided we continue to see increasing vaccine supply, it is our intend to open up vaccination to all adults the first part of next month.”
