House Speaker David Ralston talked about it Thursday, during a meeting with reporters.
Speaker Ralston was asked about the jungle primary special election that elected Raphael Warnock, along with the rule that candidates must win more than 50% of the vote, which forced former Senator David Perdue into a runoff, which he lost to Jon Ossoff.
Ralston talked about the future of absentee voting, including no-excuse absentee voting.
Ralston talks about making the Secretary of State’s position an appointed position, instead of an elected position. He also talked about stripping election oversight from the Secretary of State’s office.
Other major issues the Speaker talked about Monday included Georgia’s coronavirus response, including additional funding.
He also talked about mental health services in Georgia.
Speaker Ralston also talking about doing more to improve rural broadband and internet services.
