It began with this Wednesday morning tweet from President Donald Trump calling for Governor Brian Kemp to resign.
President Trump was referring to a Georgia State Senate hearing on elections Wednesday that re-aired many of the accusations of problems with Georgia’s election process.
Governor Kemp responded during a called press conference Wednesday afternoon.
“All of these things are a distraction. I mean I’ve supported the president. I’ve said that many times. I worked as hard as anybody in the state, on his re-election up through November 3rd”
Governor Kemp also said he had not been invited to Monday’s rally in Dalton with President Donald Trump and Georgia U.S. Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.
In other tweets on Wednesday, President Trump blasted Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.
