Today, the Georgia Department of Public Health’s North Central Health District began scheduling appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine.
For now, these vaccinations are for healthcare providers, along with employees and residents of long-term care facilities.
Starting Monday, the vaccinations will be given in drive-thru setups.
If you are eligible, you can call 1-844-987-0099 for an appointment.
The 13-county district received 1,300 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday.
The North Central Health District’s coverage area includes Baldwin, Hancock, Jasper, Jones, Putnam, Washington and Wilkinson Counties.
