Today, Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Harold Melton is expected to announce the suspension of jury trials until February.
Chief Justice Melton says it is necessary “in the face of the disturbing spread of the coronavirus.”
Lake Area District Attorney-elect T. Wright Barksdale says this could affect some major trials, including the Tyree Ingram murder trial in Baldwin County.
